I started this painting while attending a workshop in Idaho. I made numerous small studies and composed this painting from those. I am inspired by Edgar Payne , Mason Dixon and other great painters of the west. this has a little dreamy presentation , I try to capture the emotion of the west. A framed matte canvas print capturing the Tetons as seen from Idaho — wide sky, rugged peaks, and the quiet space between. The matte finish keeps reflections low and brings out the subtle textures of the canvas, making the mountains feel like a room you can step into.
